Το iPhone 4 στην Verizon, επίσημα

Μετά από αρκετό καιρό, είναι πλέον επίσημο. Η Verizon ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι το iPhone 4 θα είναι διαθέσιμο και για το δίκτυο της. Πριν την ανακοίνωση ο Lowell MacAdam της Verizon είπε ότι “Αν ο τύπος γράφει κάτι αρκετά μεγάλο στο τέλος αυτό γίνεται πραγματικότητα. Σήμερα γινόμαστε συνέταιροι με μια πολύ μεγάλη εταιρία, και αυτή είναι η Apple.”

Το iPhone 4 έρχεται στην Verizon τον επόμενο μήνα τελικά μετά από όλες τις φήμες που έχουμε διαβάσει. Η Apple ξεκίνησε να κάνει δοκιμές στο CDMA iPhone το 2008, και μετά η Apple κυκλοφόρησε το iPad Verizon το 2010. Το iPhone έρχεται στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου, και θα είναι CDMA (και όχι LTE) και μπορείτε να το βρείτε στο website της Verizon. Είναι ακριβώς το ίδιο iPhone 4 που γνωρίζουμε μόνο που το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο της Verizon συνδέεται σε CDMA και EvDO δίκτυα.

Η τιμή του θα αρχίζει από $199.99 για το μοντέλο με τα 16GB και με 2 χρόνια συμβόλαιο ενώ για το 32GB η τιμή αρχίζει από $299. Οι προπαραγγελίες αρχίζουν στις 3 Φεβρουαρίου.

Η έκπληξη στο καινούριο iPhone 4 όμως είναι οι δύο καινούριες μαύρες γραμμές που βρίσκονται στο πάνω μέρος της συσκευής οι οποίες μας εξασφαλίζουν την συμβατότητα με το CDMA.

H δυνατότητα του HotSpot που βασίζεται σε wireless tethering υποστηρίζει μέχρι και 5 συσκευές. Όπως με όλες τις CDMA συσκευές, έτσι και το Verizon iPhone δεν μπορεί να υποστηρίζει κλήση και πλοήγηση στο internet την ίδια στιγμή.
